FundedByMe tries to find the equilibrium point between wide access to crowdfunding for entrepreneurs and protection of investors on the other hand.

Analysis made with partners from scoring agencies UC and Bisnode showed that 1,5 years (18 months) is a period long enough to collect all needed information to give accurate scoring for a venture and to forecast its financial perspective.

Companies with shorter track record are not necessary more risky than more established companies. In fact, new companies might be in some cases less risky than companies that existed on the market for long period of time.

Traditional financial sector in Sweden has a common practice not to accept companies that have been active on the market shorter than 12 months. However, FundedByMe has even increased this acceptance rate to 18 months.
